ALL ABOUT US

SOUNDSTAGE is a professional music and performing arts school located at 140 Hardy Street, Crisps Lane, Nelson. We offer classes and individual tuition to people of all ages and abilities in our SING – DANCE – ACT – PLAY classes and private lessons.
We specialise in classes for children and young people, but we also see many adults who wish to learn something new or build on their existing skill-set in singing, dance, acting and music.
SOUNDSTAGE is where professional tuition in music and performing arts is taught to students who are passionate about exploring their potential as artists and parents who understand how valuable performing arts and music training can be to their children’s development.
Training in music, dance and drama can assist young people in finding confidence in presenting themselves to the world in what ever career they choose to pursue. It can assist with communication, coordination, lateral thinking and problem solving. It can also be an awesome stress release and energy burner! Students can start with us as young as 2 years old, we have programs suited to all ages and levels of ability. You can choose to do casual classes that don’t require a lot of commitment, or take your studies more seriously and sit exams through examination bodies such as, Trinity Guildhall of London and The New Zealand Association of Modern Dance.
