About Us

SOUNDSTAGE is a music and performing arts school located in Nelson New Zealand. Its founders and directors are Jane Winter and Simon Williams.

SOUNDSTAGE was established in January 2008 out of the individual students of Jane and Simon. Now located at 56 Rutherford Street, we offer training and tuition in music and performing arts to people of all ages and abilities.

We train young people who are just starting their interest in the arts, teenagers and adults who are preparing for further training or careers in the industry, and many people who just love to sing, act or play for their own stress relief and enjoyment! We offer group classes as well as private lessons, and are open to working with groups, bands, schools or businesses, for work-shopping, training, or professional development. Our vision for SOUNDSTAGE is to offer training, opportunity and development to people of all ages and levels of ability. In a professional, safe and creative environment.
